Our PhilosophyAt The McCoy House, we understand that the road to lasting recovery is not easy or effortless. Many of us would like to believe that once we got a glimpse of living a clean and sober life, the self destructive behaviors would be gone and our journey would continue free of struggle and pain.In recovery, we learn that we have to live life one day at a time while continuously facing challenges and move through many issues in order to live a healthy and happy life. The McCoy House is a safe home for women who are looking for a safe, comfortable environment that is conducive to both personal and spiritual growth.

How We WorkThe McCoy House is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where residents are restored to healthy living by providing a safe and positive atmosphere. Our shared housing environment ultimately enables residents to lead responsible and productive lives without the use of alcohol, drugs, or other self destructive behaviors.

Our HouseThe McCoy House is a beautiful plantation style house located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi. Offering luxurious housing accommodations and upscale amenities which include: fully equipped modern kitchen, breakfast room with French-doors leading to patio, meditation room overlooking landscaped garden, two spacious living rooms with fireplaces, five large bedrooms with double beds, four bathrooms and large dressing room with double vanity.The house offers: large screen television with cable, wireless internet access, private phone line, full laundry facility and ample parking. Also provide are: bedding, linens, towels, dishes, glasses, silverware, cookware and cleaning supplies.The outside area has an expansive red brick porch overlooking landscaped property, back yard patio, lounge chairs, BBQ grill, fountain, bird baths and feeders and multiple sitting areas located throughout the property.

The BenefitsThe McCoy House is an immaculate well maintained dwelling with a strong peer support system. It offers a stable living environment where residents have the opportunity to seek employment, continue their education, focus on personal goals, accountability and spiritual growth. The house is centrally located with easy access to treatment centers, hospitals, fitness facilities, shops, restaurants, the Ross Barnett Reservoir and the beautiful scenic Natchez Trace. There is a zero tolerance policy on use of drugs, alcohol or other addictive behaviors. Adherence to this policy is monitored by an on site house manager.The only requirements are:• Maintain sobriety• Rent accountability• Attend twelve step meetings• Attend weekly house meetings• Submit random drug tests• Abide by household rules
