A Sober Living House?
A Sober Living House is a supportive clean and drug free facility where people practice healthy living skills. Clients living in this environment are expected to not only remain drug and alcohol free but abstain from any type of addictive behavior such as gambling, spending, sexual promiscuity, eating disorders etc. Typically, when a person has completed treatment or rehabilitation program, they are referred to a sober living house. This house serves as a transitional living environment between treatment and independent living or returning to prior residence.

Many persons who seek to live in a sober living house do not necessarily come from a treatment program. They may be simply seeking, for a variety of reasons, to live, for a period of time, in a supportive clean and sober environment.
